Needs

Rugged. Outdoors. Conservation. Stewardship. Heritage. Nature. These are just a few of the words that describe The Ozark Podcast started by three friends, Kyle, Kyle, and Daniel. From what started as a simple goal to grow themselves in hunting and angling, has grown organically over time and The Ozark Podcast has now brought incredible value to thousands listeners. As they interview men and women across the Ozarks who share a unique connection to the Ozark way of life, their mission is simple: preserve the stories, celebrate culture, promote conservation, educate outdoor enthusiasts, and inspire adventure in the Ozarks.

When first meeting with their team, they expressed their desire to cast a wider net with a digital reflection of the show. A website that could not only support the podcast, but grow with their mission and vision as they expanded their reach and provide more resources to their audience. A few conversations later and we began working on a mood-board to reflect their brand style. We quickly aligned on a creative direction that authentically tells their story and displays their mission.

Strategy

The Revival creative team took inspiration from a variety of outdoor brands such as Kuat, Patagonia, Mountain Hardwear, Vortex, The North Face, and REI, but we didn't stop there. We also took inspiration from the local Ozark geography of rivers, rolling hills, forest, and pastures. With custom typography to match that of an old fashioned type-writer, army green with topography lines reflecting maps, and pops of hunter orange that you might find on a hat or vest, we slowly brought the Ozark Podcast to life on their website.

One custom piece that we really worked with their team on was the Sponsorship and Advertisement page. As the podcast has grown over time, they have been approached by various brands for sponsorship opportunities. Showcasing their reach across all channels would be important to not only attract the right sponsors, but also validate their niche audience. We loved building out visuals to reflect their analytics and show notes as well as new features such as social media content, videography, and photography for brands who might want to partner with the Ozark Podcast on marketing initatives.

Deliverables

When it was all said and done, The Ozark Podcast website was launched with gusto. A great website with stunning imagery and videos, showcasing the show hosts, their mission, and their love for their Ozark country and people.
